About Player
Welcome to Player!
Player is an industry leader in Fixed Odds sport and racing betting, offering a vast range of innovative products on an expansive selection of Australian and international events.
Unlike Parimutuel or tote betting, with Fixed Odds you know exactly how much you stand to win after you have placed your bet.
Fixed Odds returns are quoted per $1.00 invested so to calculate your projected payout, simply multiply the amount you wish to invest by the current odds displayed for your selected outcome.
Transacting with Player couldn't be easier, whether you use cash or an account. With over 300 retail outlets located across Western Australia, plus a telephone betting service, a secure transactional website and a mobile wagering application, you can place a Fixed Odds bet at any time from wherever you are located.
Should you ever require further information in regards to a Player product or service, please ask your TAB agent or call the Player Sports Betting Line on 13 23 68 for clarification.
Thank you for choosing Player.
Fixed Odds Sport Information
Player's coverage of sporting product is second to none. While the range of Fixed Odds betting options made available on the high profile sports, such as AFL, NRL, football, tennis and cricket, is immense, a comprehensive suite of markets are offered on a substantial number of other competitions and events from around the globe.
Player also provides the option of utilising a variety of exotic bet types, such as Pick Your Own Line and My Match, not available with the vast majority of other Fixed Odds wagering providers.
Generally, Fixed Odds betting options offered on sporting events and competitions are subject to 'All In' rules, meaning a refund will not be paid if your selection is unsuccessful for any reason.
Certain bet types however may be subject to slightly different conditions, under designated circumstances, which may result in your investment being due a refund.
If you are unsure as to the specific rules surrounding how a bet type will be resulted, please check the Player Rules before confirming your investment.
Live Betting
'Live' or 'In The Run' betting is an ever-increasing growth area in the world of sports betting and Player offers the most extensive product coverage of any bookmaker in Australia.
From the major football codes, both domestically and abroad, through to basketball, tennis, cricket and more, you can place a Fixed Odds bet on a range of options, at any time while an event is in progress.
'Live Betting markets are opened shortly after an event has commenced and are available until the conclusion of the game, or until the match result is beyond doubt.
'Live' bets can be placed at any TAB retail agency or via telephone on Player's priority Live Betting line - 1300 BET LIVE (1300 238 548).
Due to current Federal Legislation, 'Live' bets cannot be placed via the internet or via the mobile wagering application.
Multi
Multi betting enables you to include a variety of sports and Fixed Odds options in one bet. The return is calculated by multiplying the prices of each individual selection together to obtain a Multi return for that combination.
A Multi selection is called a 'leg' and a sport-based Multi can contain anywhere between 2 and 10 legs.
For Fixed Odds racing markets under 'Final Field' conditions, a Multi can contain a maximum of 4 legs while for racing futures markets, the maximum number of legs is 2.
Player also allows you to combine sport and racing selections in a Multi to a maximum of 4 legs.
Where 'Win and Place' markets are offered, primarily for 'Final Field' racing events, either the Win or the Place component of the competitor can be included as a Multi leg.
Selections must also be independent of one another for the bet to be placed.
The probability of two or more outcomes occurring cannot be accurately calculated by straight multiplication if the outcomes are linked.
If two or more outcomes within the bet are non-independent, the Multi would unfairly achieve an additional return for little or no added risk to you.
As a general rule, including two or more Multi legs from the same event is rarely possible.
On occasion, certain Fixed Odds sport markets may be restricted to 'Singles Only'. This means that options from within the market cannot be included in a Multi bet. Only a straight out investment on an option from within the market will be accepted. The term 'Singles Only' will be referenced within the Bet Type Definition for affected markets.
If any leg(s) of a Multi has been abandoned or is due a refund, that selection effectively drops out of the Multi bet and the return will be recalculated based upon the prices of the remaining live legs as at the time the bet was placed.
If all legs of a Multi bet are abandoned or are due a refund, the entire bet will be refunded.
Accumulator
Accumulator is a modified form of Multi betting. While Multi bets can be played across sports and bet types, Accumulator is played within one round of a nominated sport and within one bet type.
Accumulators can include 2 to 10 legs, dependent on the sport, and you make selections only in the games you wish to play.
AFL, NRL, Union (Super 15) and Soccer (English Premier League) are the sports Player is currently offering Accumulators on regularly.
For AFL, NRL and Union Accumulators, you can choose 'Head to Head' or 'Line' betting. For Soccer Accumulators, 'Result' is the bet type that must be selected.
Like Multi betting, the return for an Accumulator is calculated by multiplying the individual returns of each selection together.
Accumulator betting will remain available when there are at least two AFL, NRL, Union or Soccer fixtures open for betting in the specific round.
Accumulator betting is available to retail customers at any TAB agency across Western Australia, via telephone betting or through the mobile wagering application.
When transacting via PlayerOnline.com.au or via the Self Service Terminal, please utilise the Multi betting facility to place Accumulator style investments.
My Match
My Match is available on the weekly AFL and NRL fixtures and provides you with the option to pick any team to outscore any another team in that round.
Example
AFL Round 1
Fremantle play Richmond and West Coast play Carlton.
The My Match options for these two games would be 'Fremantle v West Coast', 'Fremantle v Carlton', 'Richmond v West Coast' and 'Richmond v Carlton'.
If then Fremantle (15.10.100) beat Richmond (10.5.65) and West Coast (12.8.80) beat Carlton (9.9.60), the My Match results would be as follows:-
| My Match | Winning Outcome | |
| Fremantle v West Coast | Fremantle | (scored 100 points to West Coast's 80 points) |
| Fremantle v Carlton | Fremantle | (scored 100 points to Carlton's 60 points) |
| Richmond v West Coast | West Coast | (scored 80 points to Richmond's 65 points) |
| Richmond v Carlton | Richmond | (scored 65 points to Carlton's 60 points) |
All My Match markets include extra time if played and Dead Heat rules apply if teams included in the My Match market score an equal number of points in their respective matches.

A brief summary of the guidelines associated with Fixed Odds betting with Player racing product is provided below. For further information, please see the 'Player Rules' section.
Futures Markets - All In
Prior to the declaration of the 'Final Field' for any racing event, Player Fixed Odds futures markets are subject to 'All In' rules.
'All In' means that Fixed Odds returns are guaranteed, however, refunds will not be payable on non-starters. The phrase 'All In' will be clearly stipulated for relevant events.
Fixed Odds Racing Multi Betting - Futures Events (All In)
Multi investments containing 'Futures' (All In) market selections are limited to a maximum of two (2) legs with existing odds return and projected payout limits applicable.
The 'same horse' cannot be selected for two 'Futures' events within an individual Multi wager.
Multi bets involving 'Futures' selections are subject to 'All In' betting rules and both selections must win their nominated event for the bet to be deemed successful.
Final Field - Refunds & Deductions
Once the 'Final Field' has been declared for any racing event, Player Fixed Odds markets are subject to rules of 'Refunds and Deductions'.
'Refunds and Deductions' means refunds will be payable on non-starters, however, deductions may be taken from winning investments (both Win and Place) placed prior to the scratching(s) of a 'Final Field' runner(s).
Deductions taken from winning investments are based upon the Fixed Odds return of the non-starter at the time the scratching occurs will be in accordance with the official Scale Of Deductions (for pre-post markets) or as announced by the on-course stewards.
Winning Fixed Odds investments may be subject to cumulative deductions if there are multiple scratchings from the event after an investment has been placed.
Fixed Odds investments placed after a scratching(s) has occurred will not be subject to the deduction taken for the non-starter(s). Deductions taken from future scratchings will be applicable.
Any Fixed Odds racing market that does not stipulate 'All In' is strictly subject to rules of 'Refunds & Deductions'.
Fixed Odds Racing Multi Betting - Final Field Events (Refunds & Deductions)
Multi investments containing 'Final Field' (Refunds & Deductions) racing selections of any or mixed code are limited to a maximum of four (4) legs with existing odds return and projected payout limits applicable.
If a selection(s) is a non-starter in any Multi leg, the option(s) will be removed from the Multi investment and the projected return will be recalculated based on the Fixed Odds return(s) that applied to the remaining 'live' legs at the time the bet was placed.
If all but one selection contained within a Multi wager are scratched, the bet shall stand in effect as a 'Singles' investment on the remaining 'live' leg.
If all legs of a Multi wager are scratched, the investment shall be due a full refund.
If deductions are applicable to any leg(s) contained within a Multi wager, the projected payout, if successful, may be subject to the cumulative deduction taken from all selected events. The adjusted amount will be reflected in the actual payout (see Refunds & Deductions section).
Fixed Odds Jockey Challenge Multi Betting
Jockey Challenge options can be included in a sport or racing Multi up to a maximum of four (4) legs. Existing odds return and payout limits are applicable.
Jockey Challenge Quinella selections cannot currently be included in a Multi wager.
Player Fixed Odds Racing Deduction Schedule
For pre-post markets, Player utilises the deduction schedule, as released by the Australian Racing Board, to calculate Win and Place deductions in the event of scratching(s) in Final Field Thoroughbred, Harness and Greyhound races.

Parimutuel Sports Betting
As well as an extensive range of Fixed Odds betting options, Player also offers customers a suite of Parimutuel or tote sports betting products.
Footo
'Footo', a novelty Australian Rules Football bet type, requires you to select which team will win the match and within which points margin bracket the result will fall. Multiple points brackets can be selected as long as they are consecutive.
'Footo' pools are offered upon every AFL and WAFL match throughout the season.
Footy Tipping
'Footy Tipping' is an extremely popular way to wager on Australian Rules Football. To play, you need to select the winning team for each game listed in the pool.
If you are unsure which team will win a particular match, you can select both teams to win, however, the more combinations you decide to cover, the more your bet will cost.
As a general rule, the following three pools are offered on each round of the 'Home and Away' season.
Footy Tip 9 - On the nine weekly AFL games. Betting closes coinciding with the commencement of the opening match of the round, usually at 5.40pm WST Friday evening.
Footy Tip 12 - On the weekly AFL and WAFL games, excluding the opening game of the round (generally the Friday night fixture). If there is also a WAFL match on a Friday night as well as an AFL fixture, the Tip 12 pool will become Tip 11. Betting generally closes at 12.10pm WST on Saturdays.
Footy Tip 13 - On the nine weekly AFL games and the four WAFL games. Betting closes coinciding with the commencement of the opening match of the round, usually at 5.40pm WST Friday evening.
Due to fixturing inconsistencies, the number of games in the 'Footy Tipping' pool(s) may vary in some weeks.
Tipping
Player also offers an 'EPL Tipping' pool on the ten English Premier League soccer matches played each weekend throughout the season. You can select for the games to have a home team win, away team win or a draw.
You can select one, two or all three outcomes in one or more matches, however, the more combinations you cover, the more your bet will cost.
Betting closes at the commencement of the earliest played game listed in the pool.
If an EPL match is postponed from one day to another, all tipping entries will be deemed as correct for that game. Entries selecting multiple outcomes for the postponed match will receive multiple winning dividends, provided the entry correctly selects all other results, or as many as any other player.
Tipping Outcomes
For both Footy and Soccer Tipping, if the correct winning outcomes for all games are not selected, 20% of the net prize pool will be divided amongst the entries that select the next highest number of correct results. The remaining 80% of the net pool will jackpot into an equivalent pool on a following week.
You can play Footy or Soccer Tipping for as little as 50c, which allows you to take one selection in each match listed in the pool and if you are successful, you will receive half the dividend displayed.
Parimutuel Sports Dividends
Parimutuel sports betting products are pool-based. This means the dividend payable is derived by dividing the net pool (gross amount invested minus commission) by the number of units wagered upon the winning outcome.
All Player Parimutuel sports betting pools are subject to a commission rate of 25%.
