on the basis that all runners selected are included in
subsequent legs. Costs have been stated in $1 bet values
and also 50 cents which is the default bet value if the bet

Dividends
All dividends are declared for $1, and 50 cent bets entitle
you to half the dividend.
On which Races can I have a Quartet?
Quartets are available on selected races as publicised by
the TAB.
Scratchings
If any of the runners in your bet have been scratched, you will
receive a refund for every eliminated combination. For example, if
you only select four runners, all combinations are eliminated when
one is scratched and your refund will be the entire value of the bet.
In bets containing more than four runners you will only receive a
refund for those combinations in which the scratched runner is
featured. You will also receive a full refund if the nominated race
is abandoned or postponed.
Jackpots
In the event the total investment on the correct winning combination
is less than $0.50, part of the net Quartet payout pool on that race
will be carried over to another race to be announced by the TAB.
If no person selects the correct winning combination, the entire
net Quartet payout pool will be allocated to another race to be
nominated by the TAB.
Dead Heats
Dead heats in any of the fi rst four placings will result in more than
one winning combination. Each combination will have a separate
dividend. For example, if runner 1 wins the nominated event,
runner 2 fi nishes second, runner 3 fi nishes third and runners 4
and 5 dead heat for fourth, a Quartet dividend will be paid on
both combinations 1.2.3.4 and 1.2.3.5. The net Quartet payout
pool is split with half allocated to each winning combination.
In the event of a dead heat where one Quartet combination is
selected and one is not, for example a customer selected 1.2.3.4
but no person had selected 1.2.3.5, the pool is then split with half
allocated to the combination 1.2.3.4 and the other half of the net
pool would jackpot.
Commission Rate
A commission rate of 20% is deducted from gross Quartet investments.
Pooling of Quartet
Quartet pools currently operate as a WA stand alone product.
Flexi Betting
Flexi Betting allows you to take virtually as many combinations in a Quartet
as you wish and you nominate the total amount you wish to spend.
The TAB calculates the Flexi percentage of the investment you have
placed by dividing the total spend by the number of combinations
selected.
The Flexi percentage must be greater than 1% for the bet to be allowed to
place.
If successful, you will receive a percentage of the displayed dividend
equal to the Flexi percentage of the bet you have placed.
