Select a runner to finish 1st in a nominated race. For Tote betting, you may select more than one runner for a Win but each extra selection will incur an extra cost. For Fixed Odds betting, only one Win selection per transaction is permitted.
Select a runner to finish 1st, 2nd or 3rd in a nominated race. Your selection may finish in any of these positions. For Tote betting, you may select more than one runner for a Place but each extra selection will incur an extra cost. For Fixed Odds betting, only one Place selection per transaction is permitted.
When there are between five and seven runners in a race, only two Place dividends are payable. If there are fewer than five runners in a race, Place betting is unavailable. In the event a Late Scratching reduces the field number from five starters down to four, Place betting on that event will be abandoned. All Place bets already made on that event will be refunded.
Each Way (Win and Place)
This combines Win and a Place bet on the same runner. If the selected runner wins, there will be a Win AND a Place dividend payable. If it finishes 2nd or 3rd, there will be a Place dividend payable. For Tote betting you may select more than one runner in an each way bet. If one of these runners does win, there will be a Win and a Place dividend payable for that runner. If the other selection finishes 2nd or 3rd, there will be other Place dividends payable.
For Fixed Odds betting, only one each way selection per transaction is permitted.

There is no guaranteed minimum Win and Place divided for Fixed Odds betting on a dead heat runner.
If any selections in your bet have been scratched you will receive a refund for each scratching. You will also receive a refund if the race is abandoned or postponed. Collection of refunds will be available after the race dividends are official.
