This Betting section of Ozbet enables you to place multiple bets on various events all at once, making betting very efficient. You can also prepare your bets prior to logging on and upload the file to our bet engine. The following section explains in detail the way in which you format your bets and the process you follow.
Account Details
The Account Balance Area shows the current balance of your selected account.
The account balance will decrease automatically as your bets are lodged with the WA TAB. If you have not processed any bets for a while you can click on the refresh button and the balance will be updated for you.
Adding Bets
The Add Bet Detail(s) Area allows the entry of text based bets.
These bets can be either keyed in directly or cut and pasted from another program.
The general format used is date, eventid, selections and bet value.
For example 11.04.01 SR1T 1..4..2..10 would place a bet on 11 April 2001 for Sydney Race 1 Trifecta pool, Horse 1 to run first, horse 4 to run second and horse 2 to run third. The value of this bet combination is $10.00.
Click on the
LOG BET(S) button to lodge the bets with the WA TAB. For a complete list of bet formats click here.
The File Transfer Area allows multiple bets to be placed using a previously created text file.
NB: This feature is only available if you are using Netscape or Internet Explorer V4.0 or above.
Enter the file location in the white window (or click on the "browse" button to locate the file manually). When you have done this, click on the
UPLOAD FILE button to lodge the bets with the WA TAB.

Betting Receipts and Cancellations
The current bet details shows the value and details of the last batch of bets sent to the WA TAB.
This can be an easy bet, a keyed text bet or a bet file. All successful bets and errors will be displayed in this window.
Highlighting a previous bet and clicking on the button will cancel that bet and credit your account with the bet value. Bets can only be cancelled one at a time and must be within 60 seconds of the bet being placed.
